Spatially Varying Mesh Control

Most of MeshSim's mesh controls can be specified as an arbitrary function of space. This allows great control of the mesh that will be generated.

The spatially varying mesh controls are specified by giving MeshSim a function, in the form of a string, that will be evaluated to determined the mesh size at each point. Below are some examples.

In the mesh to the right the mesh size is set to be a function of x (the x-coordinate over the domain of the model), given by the expression:

0.4*x + 0.4

Spatially varying mesh control can be used with virtually all of MeshSim capabilities. The example below shows a spatially varying boundary layer mesh generated using MeshSim Advanced
